My Story: With AWARE™ tracer technology the use of genuine recycled fabric materials and water reduction impact claims are guaranteed, by using the AWARE disruptive physical tracer and blockchain technology. Save water and use genuine recycled fabrics. **Water savings are based on figures when compared to conventional fibre. This calculated indication is based on reliable LCA data as published by Textile Exchange in their Material Snapshots 2016. 

The total CO2 life cycle assessment* of this product, per unit, is 0.61kg. This comprises 518g in Materials and Production, 33g in packaging, 23g in transportation and 31g for End of Life.

My Story: Cotton covers 2.5% of the world’s cultivated land but uses 10-16% of the world’s pesticides (including herbicides, insecticides, and defoliants), more than any other single major crop. 

Environmental consequences of the elevated use of chemicals in the non-organic cotton growing methods include the following: chemicals used in the processing of cotton pollute the air and surface waters. decreased biodiversity and shifting equilibrium of ecosystems due to the use of pesticides. 

Organic cotton is grown without the use of synthetic pesticides.

End of Life: These socks can be recycled (as a cotton) or, as they are a natural fibre they will also biodegrade.

My Story: Flag material is made from Display rated Polyester and printed with water based inks. The Pole set is fibreglass with Steel connectors. The carry bag is made from Nylon.

End of Life: The flag material is recyclable so could be either creatively repurposed (large paint matt, or temporary seat cover) or placed into clothing/fabric recycling services. The Carry bag too can be placed into fabric recycling. Fibreglass (Fibre-reinforced plastic or FRP) requires specific recycling processes (Mechanical or Thermal) to reduce the chance of this material ending up in landfill. For this reason we would recommend asking your local council or waste services department for options with this material.

My Story: Bottle with marks to give a guide on what level of water you should be consuming each day, giving the user a reason to use the bottle over and over again. Made from PET plastic which is easily recycled. There is no silicone seal/band on this product as the lid has a second rim to seal tight against the screw top. This means the entire bottle and lid are able to be recycled without the need to remove a silicone ring.

End of Life: Bottle and Lid can be placed into standard plastic recycling (PET). The bag the unit is supplied in can be used for home composting.

My Story: Easy to clean, sturdy and built for ongoing use, therefore helping to reduce the use of single use water bottles. Can hold hot or cold liquids and so has a great use for all manner of drinks. Made from 304 Grade stainless steel. Steel is the most recyclable material on earth, by weight. It can continually be recycled while maintaining its strength and core properties. Recycling steel involves remelting the metal in an electric arc furnace or a simple oxygen furnace, and this recycling process accounts for about 40% of the total amount of steel produced globally.  

End of Life: The main bottle/vessel section can be recycled as a metal (stainless steel). The Lid would require the silicone seal to be (easily) removed and placed in general waste. The remaining lid component can then also be recycled (separated as plastic and steel). The Cork base can be separated at point of recycling and will naturally biodegrade.

My Story: Bamboo is a fast growing plant (actually a Grass!) with the strength and workability specifications of timber. It grows to maturity in 5 years, versus 30 – 120 years for other natural timbers. After a bamboo plant is harvested, four to seven new plants will grow from its roots. No replanting necessary. 

End of Life: This item can be recycled or composted. Always check with your local recycling authority before placing your bamboo products in the recycling bin. As a product that may very find itself laying (broken) in the ground, away from the green... the bamboo will safely, naturally decompose.

My Story: A functional bag produced using polyester fabric. This is recyclable and able to then be made into other polypropylene products (fabrics, sheet materials, containers etc). The bag can be used for a huge range of tasks both on and away from the golf course. It can be washed and repurposed as often as required. 

End of Life: Should this bag no longer find a purpose or becomes damaged and unfixable it can be recycled by simply removing the drawstring cord and placed into clothing or fabric recycling stations. The Cord is made from nylon which though recyclable in nature is not currently accepted in recycling stations in the UK. The Plastic Toggle and clip can be placed into standard Plastics recycling. Both the bag material and the cord could also be repurposed by the user.

My Story: Made from numerous components and assembled in the UK, this umbrella model has been chosen for its colour match canopy with WTW Ultraviolet as well as the premium feel and design of the specific model. Umbrellas are made up from many different components ranging from metals like Steel & Aluminium to Plastics, Polyester and Fibreglass. Due to this, it has been difficult to fully recycle umbrellas at the end of their life span as you need to fully strip the components from each item and dispose of them individually. For this reason Branding Focus and the UK manufacturer are proud to offer the following service:

End of Life... Introducing the UK Umbrella Recycling Scheme:
When WTW branded umbrellas reach the end of their life cycle, these can be sent back to the manufacturer and in turn, they will ensure all separated components are then recycled correctly. If for any reason a component is unable to be recycled directly, it will then be sent to a separate plant which regenerates sustainable energy from the processing of waste.  

Process: Once WTW collected units are ready to be sent back, Branding Focus is able to assist in the freight service for these returning units. You will need to have the umbrellas packed up and ready for collection, then please contact us so we can confirm number of units and agree suitable date and location for the collection.
